Marissa DioGuardi, CAS Banquet Chef, received a peer-to-peer award during this year's employee recognition celebration. Marissa has been with CAS for three and a half years, initially starting as a Sous Chef up at the Big Tree Inn, and was very excited to be given this award.
Marissa received the peer-to-peer award as she honors all CAS values through her behaviors at work and with others. She has a consistently positive attitude, no matter what the catering days throw at her. With her classic tag line "okay, sounds good, let's do it!", Marissa is always willing to jump in and help with setups and assist in MJ.
Marissa was delighted to receive the peer-to-peer award. She said, "when I received the peer-to-peer award, I felt honored. This award is given to those who' honor CAS values through their behavior at work and with others.' For someone to notice that I follow and respect our company values is an accomplishment in itself. I always strive to be a leader and a good team member. I respect all of the employees that I work with daily, and I continuously try to build healthy work relationships with everyone. To be recognized for this award tells me that I am creating a positive work environment for everyone around me, and I couldn't be happier!"
Marissa says for someone to excel in their job, they need to put in the time and effort. The only way one can improve is by continually pushing themselves to be better. To someone looking for a new career, Marissa suggests looking for something they are passionate about, because if you don't have a sense of pride from what you do daily, then you should find something that genuinely makes you happy.
Thank you, Marissa, for all you do for CAS. Our company has been able to succeed because of people like you on our team!
